ISO, short for International Organization for Standardization, is considered as the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. The ISI, short for Indian Standards Institute, is a certification mark that is found on many Indian products.ISO and ISI are two different standardization organizations. However, they differ from each other. ISO is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. The organization was founded on 23 February 1947 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The organization promotes worldwide proprietary, industrial and commercial standards.
