Jayalalithaa Jayaram, an Indian actress-turned-politician, is the current chief minister of Tamil Nadu. She is also the General Secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party. She was sworn-in as the chief minister on 23 May 2016.Jayalalithaa joined All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) political party. That time Jayalalithaa was friend and a very close companion of M.G.Ramachandran, (popularly known as M.G.R) the late film star, leader of the AIADMK party and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
